As some of you know i have been on a mission to get a Z3M Coupe, i have been held up somewhat by the slow sale of my Mustang.

I have not really considered any other car becasue i cannot find anything as quick, or as unique until i laid eyes n this.

What do you guys think?

Love it! The z4 is so nice to drive, handles like a dream and has formidable build quality. IF I was in the market for a roadster, I'd definitely buy one, definitely better than a Boxster, S2000 etc.

Sorry but not too keen on it....

not a fan of the z4..and not feeling that..don't like the rims either...

At the end of the day its subjective....and if u like it well then go for it..

I would like to see the mustang though before u do sell it...it looks so pimping in the photos...

If I was you go for the Hartge Z4 much nicer but tat looks horrible...if u shopping 4 a roadster go for da s2000 and hear da VTEC sing :D...quicker and drives betta dan z4 and 0.4 sec slower dan boxster

I have driven the S2000, there is just not enough grunt there. I need a car with a sub 6 second 0-60 and the S2000 just does not come up trumps.

I am still leaning towards the Z3M Coupe, just not sure if it is worth paying the extra for the S54 engine. There is only 4 bhp difference and you pay £8k-10k more for it. Durgs also says they can shove an SC on the S50 engine but not the S54. (Residuals should be better on the Z3M coupe.)

The other option is to go for something like and Audi RS4.

Have you ever driven Alfa's? I had a ride in the 156 GTA last night. Oh my god, that thing is rapid. 3.2 V6, italian soundtrack and I think it looks stunning

i have been in a 156, but to be honest it does not fit the 0-60 in under 6 seconds catagory.

i like that Z4 better then the Z3M Coupe, but don't like those rims though.

Get a Z4 3.0 and get it supercharged. Much cheaper than Alpina and just as fast. I sat in the Infinitas SK+ Z4 and damn that thing flies! 0-60 in 5 secs. Only 4500EURO for the kit.

I see what you are saying, but then i loose my warrenty.

None of these options are as quick as the Z3M Coupe though, and i can get a warrenty with that. Evo mag have to 2 seperate timed runs with the M Coupe and got 0-62 in 4.3secs. Not bad is you ask me.

There are still lots of rumors about the Z4M as well, so there would be major resdiual value problem with an SC'd Z4.

Get da hartge Z4. Supercharged already 300bhp!!!...and u will be own rarer dan da alpina Z4

How about one of these..

Audi RS3 (http://www.wheels24.co.za/Wheels24/News/0,,1369-1372_1522144,00.html)

Never been a fan of Audi's but 350bhp created by a twin turbo'd 3.2 V6 with 4wd will be astonishing.

Why only do a four door though?

I would love the RS£, i had an S3 for a while and quite liked it. (Ok so the brakes we like wood and stearing was too light) but it was a very good alround car for a 21 year old.

Unfortunatly it will not be out until 2006.

Hmm note really a huge fan of those rims, they dont scare me umm they are to pretty... haha hows that.
I do think that it looks as hard as nails with a the hard top on, ACS style.

One thing to note, what ever you do under the hood its still going to be a Z4 where the M Coupe is just that.. an M Coupe ;)

Ed.....

Z4, I don't like the look of the front. But having driven it a couple of times now, I have to say its a very good car.

But you are going about this in the wrong way, buy a Z4 3.0 and stick a ASA Supercharger in it, you will take out the Alpina one. Ali and I both drove the ASA Z4 and it is SICK!

What about supercharging the Alpina Z4?

Thats 300bhp as standard!

There isn't a kit for it at the moment, it's the software that needs to be sorted. With the 3.0L SKs, you have +,1,2,3 & 4, all the way up to 400BHP. So there's really no need to develop another kit for the Alpina.

churchwa

Ok, yeah i was only kidding about SCing the Alpina. It would cost way too much.

I am quite tempted to get an older M Coupe with an S50 engine and get that Supercharged. Durgs says that is 400bhp out of the box and that they cannot SC the S54quite as well.

do we like the 911 turbo II (320 bhp)

That 911 turbo looks wrong. The interior doesn't flow with the car. But if you find a blue one like the one in Bad Boys, I would bust a nut! A blue 911 turbo is dream-garage material

I have to say i love the 80's look. That white interior is PHAT. I would rather it in another colour though. Although i would never buy a dark blue car, thats just me though.

That car is only about £25k, the one in bad boys is about £80k.

BigFas

the one in bad boys is about £80k.

You serious? Any idea why? I mean, a 911 turbo is a 911 turbo right?

Im feeling the 911 but u would have to change those rims ;)

I think it is a Ruf 911 Turbo in the movie, the wheels are.

Durgs goes on about it, best if he answers this question.

BigFas
22-11-2004, 10:29 PM
no, I don't think it is a RUF car, it would say Ruf in front of the "turbo" text on the back and in the centre caps of the wheels, those are 911 turbo cup alloys in the movie

churchwa
22-11-2004, 10:45 PM
Ok, i stand corrected.

"Bad Boyz" - 1994 3.6 Turbo, 1994 C2 turbo 3.6, 1993 C2 turbo w/Turbo 3.6 wheels.
The car in the movie was intended to be a 1994 C2 turbo 3.6. Actually, there were several cars used in the movie. In the opening scenes of the movie, the car driving over the bridge is a 1993 C2 turbo with the Turbo 3.6 wheels (you can tell because the brake calipers on the closeups are black where the 3.6 Turbo had red calipers). Later in the movie (the closing scenes) that is actually a 1994 3.6 Turbo. The script on the trunk is a dead give-away, but the car used in the stunts (during the shooting) is missing the Porsche(TM) crests impressed on the headrests. Again another imposter. The Bottom line is that the car was INTENDED to be a 1994 Turbo 3.6.

Durgesh
22-11-2004, 11:16 PM
Yup the Bad Boyz one is a 911 Turbo 3.6 (964), with 3 piece Rims. Love that car, something like only a 1,500 were ever made. They will cost you around 35K for a good one.
