I've always thought my engine bay looks a bit too stock but not anymore :D :D
Thank you Roy for supplying such a work of art.....the CF weave quality is unsurpassed [cool
It's shaped like a GruppeM but the filter is much bigger. This you can actually hear the induction roar. I'm well impressed with the ram air effect on the way home from Gosport. The faster the car goes, the stronger the pulling power in any gear. Suits my CSL bumper great as the intake reaches down to exactly where the air duct opening is. Cold air supply is guaranteed.
Roy, as promised.....I'm wearing CA's sticker ;) Oh, and thanks for making me feel at home for using your garage this afternoon....I'm impressed by the variety of tools you have [cool

The filter itself is an original K&N cone and it's the same size as the one on the Typhoon. The original GruppeM uses a shallow cone filter that has a lot less surface area than this.

Definitely less heatsoak especially sitting in traffic. But the effect is best whilst on the move because of the direct ramp air effect from my CSL bumper air intake.

K&N. The main housing is a one off special. The rest is genuine GruppeM

The GruppeM is great. It's just that I need to fund a few other projects. Especially now I have seen your Nav setup. I blame you for this illness! I thought you were here to cure patients!!!

Nick, that looks real phat ! bet it sounds good too !! :D
Roy, you could always go down the Serial number plate route for the filter a la GruppeM with CA advertising. The look of your CF is so much better than their's. [cool
Nick could have 001, who could have 007 ! Lol

Had a feeling you'd had one of those fitted when i spoke to Roy.
Now you need the CF engine cover to match
Damn Nick, that looks awesome. Very impressive in the looks and by the sounds of it the performance aspect. [jam

Nick, is the mouth bigger on this compared to the gruppeM?
How does the CSL bumper effect the airflow? I thought the mouth sat behind the grill.
Looks very nice though. Will you bother to remove it for servicing? :D

Roy, might be interested in one. Can you explain, is it a totally sealed system, i.e. like the GruppeM? If so (or not) how would you rate the induction noise?
Finally, assuming I DONT have the CSL style air ducts, how does it perform on heat soaking?
Cheers.

hi
this basically is a replica of the Gruppe M system , but to my mind the carbon is better .
I dont believe there will be a heatsoak problem , not something I have really come across .
Nick any comments here ?

The finish is much better than the GruppeM in terms of appearance. Never a fan of that yellowy kevlar material.
No heatsoak at all. The enclosure is very similar to the OEM airbox but air flow is less convoluted.
is the mouth bigger on this compared to the gruppeM?
Definitely bigger. I could fit my entire fist into the inlet whereas the GruppeM is not possible.

How about the noise compared to standard?

Slightly louder than stock. You can hear the induction echoing inside the CF housing but definitely not as loud as a 330 GruppeM.
