Recently purchased (thanks M3THUG) some Hamann GTR side skirts. But once I took them to bodyshop last night and had them up against car, all of a sudden wasn't sure I was feelin' them. M3Thug felt the same and reverted back to original M3 skirts. Although originally, the general concensus was that most on the forum approved, at the moment I think I'm with M3THUG, not sure. Side issue.....his debadged bonnet looks really original on a forum where its really hard to be!!!

Goggled lots of images last night, and came to the concluson, these skirts look far better on 4 door e46's. Anyway, found a good imagine and think Hamann 'missed a trick'. The skirts look like they're missing something on the edges. Maybe some kinds of spat (not the shoe kind!!). Anyone of you creative people out there could photoshop what it potentially may look like with them or smoothed into body...

Thanks in advance....

I had them on my 330ci. They were 'hot' then. Looking at the pics now, they look out of date and so yesterday. One of those designs that doesn't 'age well' at all.

Still my favourite sideskirt, I think they look sick as hell. Unfortunately 25+ speedhumps in the mile around my house made my journey take 10 minutes longer each way!

Wouldn't go that far.....:p Interesting thing about whats 'today and yesterday' when it comes to moddin'. Not sure its change that much (in my opinion) in the last 2-3 years as such. Your old E46 still looks good today (apart from those headlamp eyebrows maybe ). Non M owners are still influenced in many ways by the M3 today.
Understand the stuff around 'size matters' also when it comes to wheel sizes and tyres but I guess this has been influenced by manufacturing costs and technology which has made prices more affordable.

Whats also great is the 'founders' have influenced some of the styling themes and I guess 'some of us' are only now in a position to follow financially. Hamann skirts are £400+ new  .New thread I guess. Does money influence moddin' ??
