Oil recommendation for service

Hi guys

As above really, car is a 330ci with 110k on clock.
I was going to have the 0/30 as recommended by my local dealer but the independent garage i normally use think i should have a thicker viscosity oil with the mileage on it.

Views/opinions appreciated.

if its frequently serviced then stick with the recommended oil. I use the Castrol Edge 0w30 BMW LL01
