As my mobile is approaching upgarde time, I thought I'd contact BMW customer services to find out exactly which phones are compatable with the Bluetooth Car Kit. Attached is the matrix.
BMW UK say that it is possible to update to the latest software version,
(although according to Bridegate Derby you have to swap the Bluetooth processor (~£400 + labour)) and it takes about 1.5 hours for the new software to upload.
What I'm not sure about though, is how Sytner City can justify charging the full 1.5 hour labour charge, for what can only be 10 minutes work. Do they seriously think that people would believe that they'd have someone stood over this for the whole time? :mad:
