Staying at the Golden Ankher, ferry rather than eurostar.. 3 nights out there, all petrol etc. Very roughly?

I'll also be factoring 20 or so laps this time over 2 days but don't add these costs I'll work that out.

Ballpark. What do you reckon its going to do us for?

ps I'll let you know when your going, You can either avoid going in order to avoid a pug in the armco at every corner (Theres 10-15 of us going hopefully) or go specifically for the comedic value of said event.

Chars.

Giffels will be around 240ish euros for three nights, maybe a touch more. Petrol, don't know that as you have an economical car but say four tanks and again don't know the tank capacity but say average of 50 euros a tank so 200 for gogo juice. Ferry is something like £50, For 20 laps of the ring you will need to buy a 15 lap, 4 lap and single lap ticket (cheapest way to get 20 laps) and is going to be around 326 euros. So based on the current exchange rate of approx 1.23 you are looking at maybe around £675 (so say £700).

I could spend a week in Florida for that! :D But yeah, it's not a cheap weekend by any stretch of the imagination, but a good drive. And don't forget walkie talkies!

I swear petrol out there is more expensive in current state of affairs with the £ so weak against the euro.

But dont forget all your other costs, food (Pk House steak), reversing into lamp post (Just me then) and all your pit stops driving to ring and back home.

But I used 3 tanks of petrol never drove that sensible for the whole time i was away that got me from england all the way to the ring on 1 tank. Only did 8 laps mind and that ate into just under half a tank.

I reckon circa £750 is about right. I am planning a final trip for the year (as have some unused laps on my ticket) and am budgeting for the same figure

Also forgot about your spending money. Beer and steak intake is a must. I normally take 200 euros to cover that and it normally buys a new cap and a tank of fuel if I don't go too lairy on the beer.

Theres no way a beer and a steak is a must though.

Several beers and several steaks are a must :)

I'm heading out to the 'ring this Friday (October 10'th), my first trip out there and not sure about costs either. I'm traveling down fom Scotland and I have set a ball park figure of at least £700 just for petrol.
Will let you know when i get back on the Monday night just how much it cost.

I'd be interested in how much it costs you too as if I ever decide to go, it will be from Scotland too.
