where does this pipe go??

Hi there, thanks for the advice on the schnitzer exhaust.I picked it up on saturday, must say it looks great :D .
The only thing is on the stock exhaust there is a flap in one of the tail pipes and a pipe to control it, do i just block this pipe up and if so will it effect any emissions or general running settings.

that's the pipe leading to the butterfly valve in the exhaust. Basically, BMW put it in there to restrict noise when pulling away, when the revs are up, the valve open, exhaust roars a little more. Get a golf tee, shove it up the feeder pipe and you get a nice roar throughout the rev range. It does nothing to effect emissions or running, it's purely for noise management.
