LOL.....from sport injury point of view that doesn't even have the capacity to protect the important bits. But from male ego point of view, the design is flawless. Corrogated section for length extension and flexion, well thought out piece of kit :D

Yey! Correct, Only the E46 M3s have them (unused except for CSL or GruppeM Rep mods)...........not for much longer though.................... ;)

It's the air feed from the brake duct hole in the front spoiler. It's of no benefit on standard M3 but I think it's used on the CSL with the carbon induction kit.
If you have one of Teddy's gruppeM reps then it helps but the design can be improved as the shape is wrong. The the tube is lower at the front than the back, which I think would limit the air flowing upwards. Best to grind away the front part so that the air flows in and up.
