Some of you may remembered, I posted quite a few months ago about a guy in the US, doing an M3 engine transplant into his 323. Well, he's nearly there
http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=176943
The thread is looooooooooooong, but will be the best thing you will have ever read on an internet forum.
In short, guy has done an M3 engine swap WITH SMG, hydraulic suspensions, BBK and an AA supercharger. He has done this ALL himself, in his garage, buying tools as he goes along and learning as he goes along.
PLEASE, take the time to read about his journey. He's done everything he can, is tidying up a few loose ends and is nearly ready to take his car to the dealer for final reprogramming.

Bah humbug! She don't knight Americans, not even on July 4th! :p That guy is seriously smart. I mean SERIOUSLY clever. Although he does make me nervous when he insists on working on his engine etc wearing sandals lol.. He's got some nadgers aswell considering he started that and, by his own admission, knew nowhere near enough to predict exactly what it entailed. I hope his project is remembered for a long long time, it deserves to be.

He puts many many car builders to shame, especially those who originally laughed at him for being a kid in school. Welcome to the new generation [jam [jam [jam

this guy is amazing, ive just sat here for the past hour reading from page 40 onwards. i remember peppernick posting about this guy ages ago on another forum and i was shocked then as i am now....but i remember in one of the early pictures of the project there was an Xbox in the midst of all the servers and wires in the guys garage. glad to see he could let off a little steam...
Its been a very long time since i have read that, he's come along way thats for sure and boy i dont see any of those who doubted talking now. [bow [bow [bow

That project is amazing. The mechanical aprt isnt too bad if you have the time as most of it is bolt on replacment parts. But the wiring, he deserves a damn medal for at least attempting all that. Just hope nothing goes wrong when he tries to start it.
