Fitted some glow dials today, but when removing the needles the metals pins came out with the needles. When putting everything back the speedo was the only thing that didnt respond as it should. Spent most of the afternoon trying to sort it but still not working.

Mitsu got the other dials adjusted ..... just wandering if you guys had any thoughts on what might be causing the speedo to play up. Had to drive down the motorway with the speedo showing I was doing 140....lol. It moves sometimes......but gets stuck, then jumps to any speed and stays there.

Would I be able to just replace the needle ?? hopefully I dont need to replace the whole thing.

Any help would be most appreciated.

as i mentioned the exact same thing happened when I did mine, but all u need to do it to make sure the pin catches the motor ridges and adjusting the pin height. in my case, i had to fine tune the needle height so that they move freely without being 'stuck'. all u can do is to keep trying. mine took 3 hours of adjustment but once u learn the characteristic of the motor you'll be fine.

depends if you have dials that need to remove the needles or not. in some cases, u can slide the dials at an angle without needle removal. just have a look at the central holes on each dial against the size of the needle bases. I have also seen people make an incision downard from the dial holes so that they can slide the dials downards, but this wouldn't work on a glow dials as current runs throughout.
