e 36 heater problem

i have a problem with my heater when put it onto hot on my windows it blows hot air but when i switch it to my air vents its cold anybody got any ideas :confused:

The vent at the top of the centre console always blows cold air no matter what I believe, same with the vent above the headlight switch. I think the idea is to keep you awake. Just close them and point the air at the windscreen. :)

I maybe wrong though.
