View Full Version : Airbag light is on

So I dropped the car at the dealer yesterday , get it back today drive it for 10 minutes to work park it , then get back in it at lunch hour and the airbag light stays on ... I'm tempted to leave it and not even bother with it :mad: seems like something goes wrong every month now ... could it be a loose wire some where or something ?

i think it could be a sensor under the seat,might have come loose?

Like siad it could just be a sensor just take the bulb out lol. That if your not botherd about having a air bag that works that is.

its handy to have some sort of car daig like car soft
reads out fault codes and removes them

Im pretty sure only the dealer can reset the light. Even if you reconnect a loose wire the light stays on till they reset it. If it came on that soon after taking it back. Probably something they did.

My light goes on and off with a passenger, the mat in the seat is dodgy. Light goes out again but the fault stays logged in the computer.

Mine did this the other month, could be the common fault with the seat belt tensioner. I took mine to a local garage who hooked it up to the computer, they found a couple of other error codes which the guy said had conflicted and caused the air bag light to trigger. One of the error codes was to do with the air con temp sensor, he reset the error codes and the air bag light has not come on since.

sell it, get a loan, and then GET THE NEW E93 M3 :mad:
