Hope it doesn't sound like a daft question (I'm sure someone will tell me if it is). But I'm sure we have all noticed our engines perform different - in different weather conditions. When its cooler or damp, my car (e46 330 supercharged) appears to fly. However when really hot or stood in traffic for a while -just kills it. How do you replicate these conditions for your car to be constantly at that 'cooler' temp????

its down to the charge temps and air density. The only thing I could advise would be sorting a different charge cooler (if you have one on your s/c setup?) or possibly an intercooler spray similar to what you'll find on an impreza sti or evo.

Anything that can keep the air as cold as possible because cool air is denser. Compressing air via a supercharger or turbo creates heat hence why cars are fitted with intercoolers to bring the compressed air back down to a cooler level giving more power and efficiency

Unfortunately the SK+ comes without intercooler. On reflection can see why people went for SK1 instead. Maybe should have waited

The heat exchanger on mine proved to be valuable because our weather doesn't get below 35. According to ESS it can "cool down up to 500HP"

I notice this on my car also.

My 540 flies on cold damp foggy winter mornings ;) Not the best combination though!

Get yourself some monting brackets and a universal intercooler even if its only small its better than nothing and you can have some custom silicone hoses made up as required, whole job can be done for a few hundred quid and give good results
