interior bulbs for all cars should be the same, the bulbs can be bought as a kit or separately. The numbers are all different, for example, some people would want to change even the lights for make up mirror behind the sun visor but I won't bother with that and save a few quid.

For a basic kit you need 3 wedge bulbs for the central map reading lights, 2 12v6W bulbs for the footwall lights, and 4 wedge bulbs for the rear lights on a coupe. You can also get them for number plate lights and boot lights, however I don't think they are needed.

Anyone want I can get the bulbs for you. PM leave message in my section or PM/e-mail me. The bulbs I have are made in Japan for the best quality and colour. As far as I know all others are contract made in China or Phillipines. Bulbs price vary start from 3.8-5.8 each. Available in xenon blue or xenon white. They are the same colour as those xenon white sidelight bulbs.

I'll take a few shots tonight and post the pictures up.

Wow! That's nice. I hope mine is similar.

Teddy, how do you remove the map light holder? Just insert a screwdriver at the sides and pry it open? Mine wouldn't bulge

have to see the lights in person to decide blue or white me think
white looks good to me, cos the blue it looks abit too blue in the picture.
but it might be different when look at it in person.
which colour would you recommend ted since you have seen both in person :)

mysticm3

defintely need to see the whole set in person to make up mind. I can't even decide myself which ones I like better lol

I think the majority would go for xenon white because they are brighter compared to the blue ones. However the blue ones look insane in a dark carpark... :D It might scare your mates/GF a bit because of the bluey/Jazzy atmosphere they create ;)

If I must choose I will go for xenon white. Anyone interested PM me and I'll get the bulbs in. I might as well post a new thread on my section for the interior lights so leave your message there please.

Nick just insert a flathead screw driver and pry it open. How come you can do the steering swap and can't change interior light bulbs LOL

what's the price?

mysticm3
17-11-2004, 12:20 AM
depending on how many bulbs you want to change price vary each bulb from 3.80 to 5.80

for a basic kit you can get 2 for footwall, 3 for central map reading lights, one for glove box, and 2 for rear courtsey lights. You can also add 2 more for boot lights and 2 more for rear map reading lights, and 2 more for sun visor mirror lights if you must LOL The numbers are based on interior lights found in a coupe.

maybe need additional 2 rear map reading lights.
also can you by any chance to get hold of 24led matrix turn signal bulbs like JSW in E46fanatic?

Price is 4.20 per bulb for Super White Xenon with free UK P&P. Super Blue Xenon 4.60 per bulb.

you can get the bulbs enough for the basic lights first and if you like them can always get more to match later on.

bimmian's one does look brighter.
but as teddy said, you can get hyper blue or hyper white.
i think the hyper white will be similar to bimmian's one.
the hyper blue will pretty much looks like the xtec ones.

bimmian's one does look brighter

That's the whole point, you don't want them too bright so they lit up like cheapo fluorescent tubes inside the car. Cool blue is what you're after ;)

but the whole point of lights inside the car for me is so i can see when i drop summin at night or reading a map :P We not all blessed with Sat Nav. Or even worse when my lil sis drops something which could stain in the car at night *touch wood*.
