Got issues with my car again

Right guys need your help im off to banbury tommow and i need to use my car however the EML light has come on so not sure whether i should risk driving it or not???

Also had my rear disk and pads changed but the clip which goes across the caliper thin metal thing is gone missing on one reak break caliper know i can her a squeaking noise from that side can i still drive without this???

Had my disks and pads changed and it was deffo there when i left the garage there the car was fine until some wthusiastic driving know i have lost the clip doh!!!!

If anyone can let me know what to do now???

p.s the garage i use i have been using fro ages and there service is excellent so imo the clip falling off is a mechanical issue not a error by the garage

or they didnt fit it on properly. how many miles have you done since you had your brakes done?

Nah i saw him fit it on i have probs done about 100 miles???

I was driving around for ages with a clip missing.
and it turned out to be the rattleing i could'nt cure, and i had brake squeel.
bought a new one from BMW for £4, pushed it on and all is well.

Well i drove to banbury yesterday and back and car was good will get it checked today regards

Maybe the vert is striking with an EML light hoping to be washed ....... lol

LOl nick that maybe the thing without a joke i got the car washed parked up and the EML light has gone
