Are any of the components from an E39 5 series used on a 7 series?

Told you it was a daft question. In particular I have been asked if the drivers side windows are the same. :D

quick check at therealoem site says 'no', they are both different ;)

Not familiar with 7 series at all. E46, E39 OK but E38 :(

nah, fairly sure the windows are all different, e38's having a wider/longer chassis.. pretty much all body parts are different!

windows are 100% different.
