A company has a leased car on a fixed term, As it's sat there doing nothing they let my youngest use it, but today they realise that the company insurance will not cover him for "Commuting".

Ring round various insurance companies - They All say the same thing, You have to be the registered keeper of the vehicle to get it insured.

Surely not !

There must be somebody that will insure someone in their late 20's to drive a car that is owned by someone else - we're only talking about a new 1.2 Fiesta.

Any of the lads know of a broker that might be able to help - Please

Cheers

I had the same trouble when I tried to insure a bike that a mate was buying, only way we could do it was to register the bike in my name, which wasn't a problem as we were only going to strip the bike after a couple of months anyway.

Are you looking for short term to cover till the lease car is ready or you want a long term cover.

I work in insurance you will have loads of probs unless your son is the registered keeper of the car he cant be the policy holder, he could be added to the existing users policy but prob not going to happen.

Check out this site, they will help you out with short term cover to drive a car owned by someone else.
