that's just it. Neither me, my wife, my sister or my father, all separate cars and separate registration details have had one, I don't know if I need to apply or if it's sent out automatically, whether to sit tight or chase

Should be sent out automatiacally i think mate...
If none of you have got them then maybe its just the area you live in?
Might be worth a phone call though? Even though the DVLA aint that helpful!!

I still have the old type for my bike, I think you just have to send in the document and apply for a new style one. I'll do it in the next few days when I get time, I don't see the need to be in too much of a hurry.

See this is the bit that's confusing me. Some people say they sent off for a new document, others have said that they were automatically sent new ones with instructions to destroy the old ones.

dude you need to send in your current one with a covering letter asking for the new style certifcate..

An extensive TV campaign will be broadcast between 12 – 28 June 2005 to encourage all vehicle keepers who have not received the new Registration Certificate to send their old-style V5 Registration Document to DVLA, Swansea, SA99 1BA, with a covering letter.

from now on as well i dont know if you know this but if send for a new cos you lost the old one there is a charge :mad:

For my previous car I was sent one out automatically and asked to destroy the old one - give the chimps at DVLA a call and see if they can help (unlikely I know!!)
