Will a set of M3 front brakes complete fit a clubsport ?
I've been reliably informed that they will, providing 3mm is shaved off the carriers ?
Can anyone confirm this before I get the work done ?

I looked into this and I know Ali did too. You don't need to shave 3mm off the carrier, you need a whole new set! M3 carriers are not compatible with non M fitment, but if you know a fabricator, then you're good to go

Thx Fas, yup this is where I'm not sure ?
I now a E46 M3 owner / fabricator & apparently if you if shave this amount off the carrier they fit straight on & I have managed to source a complete front end set so wondered if I could confirm this before modding & the obvious cost / hassle implications. [read

Even if you could do this, theres not really much point as they wouldnt offer much of a braking improvement. Save your money and but some new discs, pads and braided hoses.

Just get the x-drilled OEM sport brake discs from BMW for your 330. They are essentially the same floating discs found on the M3 but different size. Direct replacement.

They are about £260 for a pair.

Thats right, you have to machine the callipers for them to fit.

The front disk will fit on with out any mod its the caliper that needs modding 6mm off the bracket so it will fit between the disk and the mount. The only other thing is the pad will sit 5mm lower on the disk than normal but this aint a problem as it will all bedin in time.

It's really a game of trial and error with the callipers, so I'd recommend you go to the place where you're getting them machined and try them out.

To be honest, I didn't do the converstion, as its simply too much trouble for the marginal improvement it will give.

Either go for the OEM X-drilled disks or something like Black-diamond/brembo disks...

If I go this route, what pads would you use ?

Get some Pagid fast road pads....have used them in the past and very satisfied with them.
