Hi guys looking for a bit of advice, ive decided the exterior is staying the same (after weeks of deliberation over spoilers etc.) once splitters are fitted i bought ages ago. So the modding bug still needs atttention.
Got about 400 ish squid to spend on an exhaust and airfilter, i want it all just to bolt on with no hassle.
what exhaust is best for the price? (twin pipes needed although only have a 318 sport valence how would that affect me?)
Air filter again best for money and bolt on no modding of anything.
Any advice would be great guys specially those who have a 4 pot or have had in past, mine is the 1995cc engine.

Go for a Gruppe M Replica CAI, this was my first performance mod and still loving it!
Exhausts - many people will recommend Eisenmann's on here but with your budget you may struggle. I have a Supersprint in mine and can recommend going for one of these. It is likely to be closer to your budget too....
You may need to make that £400 more like £500 to get both of the above?

Agree with Singh, most of us will recommend the Eisemann, but it's more pricier. The Supersprint is a great alternative, but I've not heard it on a 4-pot, on a 6-pot it burbles beautifully.
Another alternative is Remus. Ali had this on his 318 and it was about £200 or so from Demon Tweeks and it was awesome. Remus make the Schnitzer exhausts too, so very reputable when it comes to BM's. And as Singh has said, the replica Gruppe M from Teddy is your best bet. However, it's not a plug and play affair. Roy spent 3 hours customising the fitment onto mine, we had to modify the filter connections, and manufacture some custom brackets and piping to get it to fit, but we did it and it sounds awesome. The problem with the valvetronic is up to now, there's no bolt on solution.

cheers very much guys may just go exhaust if air filter is a bit of pain, whats anyone done with the rear valence? cutting i think will make it look dodgy and drastic?

2 options with the rear valance.
1. Buy a new one. About £80 last time I checked.
2. Cut it. If you take a VERY close look at your valance around the exhaust, you will see a feint line, this is from the mould in the factory, but you can use it as a cutting template. This is exactly what I did. I cut the valance, then smoothed it out with a dremel, then had the whole thing body coloured and it looks like this
