Hi guys

I saw these front indicator lenses on a few E46's and thought they would look good on mine too.

What do you guys think?

Before:

13101 13102

After:

13103 13104 13105

For some reason the Chrome bulbs don't work and brings up warning lights on my dash, has anyone else had this problem or have they just sent me some duds?

I was thinking of getting the grill sprayed Carbon black round the outside but leave the centre grill section chrome, has anyone done this already to a black E46 so I can see what it will look like?

those indicators are horrible. you need to get the new style. they will fog up eventually, not to mention they look like fake indicators :p

I never had any warning lights come up, when i fitted them on mine? Are they both working?

Its not advisable to spray straight onto chrome, as the paint would peel off easily.
Buy a whole matt black front grill. Looks very evil for a black m3. But not with them indicators imo

what are the new style ones like?

Both chrome bulbs don't work, I put the original bulbs in and its fine.

Very nice, I bought some CSL Spliiters the other day like yours, whats the best way to put them on so they don't get stolen?

I have seen some of the new style indicators on ebay, I think they are the ones - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BMW-3-series-E46-Coupe-01-03-Front-Indicators-Smoked_W0QQitemZ120279749379QQcmdZViewItem?hash=it em120279749379&_trkparms=39%3A1%7C65%3A1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14#ebayphotohosting

I have those on mine, can't stand the smoked-out look of the new style and you can hardly see them in daylight too, the older style has more definition and looks more 'different' than just a smoked indicator a la the Corsa brigade. Just my opinion of course. ;)

The indicators shouldn't throw up a warning - have you checked to make sure that they all work?

Not sure that the grille idea will work, you'll have stealthed your whole front line and I think that the slats will look odd left chromed. I'm sure some kind soul can PS it for you though.

Thanks guys I agree, think I prefer the ones I got as they match the headlights better and look cleaner. Can you get the side repeaters in the same style, if so where from?

I have noticed that they have steamed up a bit already, but suppose that was my fault putting them on in the rain, coulnn't wait for it to stop yesterday :)

David when you coming to get that tyre you bought off ebay?

i have had those indicators on my coupe for about a year and they steamed up at the start but it fades away after a short time,i think they look great compared to the horrible OEM ones that bmw fitted, much more in keeping with the headlights
