I remember a lot of people recommending using the BMW wheel cleaner they got from the dealers, do they normally keep this in stock? And does any know the part number?

Just had a call back from the dealers and they do stock it, also have a complete care kit for about £100.

I recently bought Magieurs Foam wheel cleaner with a brush. Worked wonders on my wheels :)

The BMW wheel cleaner is streets ahead of any other wheel cleaner I have used and I have gone through everything that autoglym, halfrauds and meguiars have to offer. It is brilliant stuff. Make sure it is the spray and not the gel one though. I can get the part number later.

That would be helpful. Planning on using it tomorrow when I give the car a clean. It came in a silver box with a foam brush type thing inside.

You have the correct one ;) .

Make sure that the wheels are dry and then give them a soaking in the stuff. Give it three minutes or so and it should go a nice sludgy black with a red tinge.

Use the foam brush just to agitate the goo and basically help remove any baked on depoits and then wash off. I guarantee that you will be amazed.

I used to wash my wheels once a week minimum but had big issues with brake dust spotting. I can now go a month (just don't get time to clean the car) and that means 3000 miles of baked on crap and use this stuff and they look brand new.

anybody got a part number so I can take it with me to the dealer most probably needs to be ordered from Germany.

WOW! This stuff really is magic, mystic sport was not lying.
I really should have done a before and after pic, my MV wheels were real dirty to the point that I was expecting to have some residual dirt left on it. But this spray took it all off, so simple to use too.
AMAZING! Get it!
