Was driving down the M11 last night and as I pulled on to the motorway, I noticed a silver M3 approaching very quickly from behind.
I pulled in to the middle lane and we both leveled at about 60mph. I gave the guy a nod and away we both went. Both of us droped it into 3rd gear and it was farily level, but by the time we were at 100 I was about a car length in front.
We had a few more encounters before he turned off and I did him each time!
Well impressed with the SC!
I've had an M3 Evo before and it felt quicker than my 330SC but I guess that's just the loud hi revving engine of the M3. The SC is smooth as you like, so you just don't feel the speed that much, but now I'm a firm beleiver!!!

Yep, at least untill the end of the summer
After that, I'm gonna reconsider, all depending on when the aftercooler, 6.5psi pulley etc etc come out!
You can't beat a vert in the summer!
FAS, any idea how much a hardtop weighs?

Hardtop weighs less than 20kg, maybe 13-14kg?

Cheers Fas
Just wondered. If I keep the car for after the summer I'll want to get one, but was worried about it weighing down the car.
14kg is nothing, so if I do keep it, I'll be getting one of those [ok
BTW, this was a Coupe that got smoked, weighing much less than mine!
Lee - I noticed on fanatic's that some people have installed Schrik cam's, and they're relatively cheap to fit etc.
Do you recon they're a mod worth doing? Also do you recon it's worth polishing the head?

If you go for the cams they will make prob about 8-10bhp, add a more usable 250rpm or so. I dont think infinitas recommend it but there are so many people running them now without any problems.
As for the install its prob the price of the Cams again, its no easy task and its def not cheap.
For the price and gain, your prob better waiting for the new pulley.

Cheers lee, think I'll wait for the pulley!
Can't be long now!
Does anyone know if they change your fuel filter when the Steelers do an inspection 2?

Infinitas should have changed that for you when the SK+ went in. They did my engine oil too. But yes, Inspection 2 filter will be changed.
SK+ with aftercooler and pulleys is going to be [ok
I would hold off the cams. Too much money for too little gain. Just the hardware themselves you're looking at a grand. Then the engine top needs to be removed. UK labour is going to sting.

Saw on fanatic's that people pay around $600 for the cam's to be installed. Rip off Britain again!
Does seem like a lot of work for minimal gains, so will leave it alone!
Cheers ppl.

As a rule, if i see a price in dollars, Say $600 id guess that the same thing in the uk will cost £600, Dont bother with the exchange rate, it simply doesnt work that way.
