This guy describes his experience at a BMW dealership as 'like being sodomised with a broomstick'. They obviously read the forum too and took exception to his comment...

it is common for manufacturers to monitor forums. i know of one manufacturer where the Technical department are members and contribute regularly to the forum, with the members aware of who the user is. I would have said most dealerships will have a look at some point to see what the genera opinion of them and their service is like, but to confront him like that is something else!
I knw that I-Forge monitor forums in the us and come on and get involved when ppl start slagging them off. when i was looking to get sum rims and do sum research i read lots of old threads where ppl had bad experiences and in the majority of them an iforge rep had come into the convo and try to discredit the claims.
you would think though that if they are monitoring forums, they would try and change their behaviour and improve their customer service.

thats funny. imagine if my dealer read some of the stuff i wrote about them :D
But the same as that guy, I was honest and truthful, and they were waste of spaces.

I've had my website called a liability by the manufacture after a long drawn out argument regarding safety (and also my posts in another forum). Seems all business get very upset if you tell the truth about them on the internet.
Unfortunately that is just the way of the world now. The internet gives everyone a voice where they can express their views and experiences. Some business are having a hard time adapting to this.
i spent ages reading this larst night very interesting, i would have told the dealer to bog off.
some of the BMW dealers (ie the employees) are so stuck there own arses.
i dont think my dealer would have been to happy the time i put there loan,a mini up for sale:D .
