Anyone know about Vdubs??

Or know any forums that i can use, my missus has a problem with her 1996 Polo 1.4, every so often, it takes ages to start, it turns over then loses power and cuts out. Ive got no idea where to start lookin, apart from fuses etc, and their all ok.

Help, sometimes shes stuck in car for 10 mins trying, then it just starts and is fine!!

dont think it'll be the coil packs as i presume it doesnt have a turbo fitted on the 1.4!!! ....see if you can find someone with a vagcom to check for any problems listed on the ecu.

Where abouts are you K3V HA? I know it's a slim chance you being near me as i'm on the edge of the world down here but i have VAG-COM from my Audi S3 day's if you want me to plug it in and check :)

It could be the auto choke, Sounds like it if it only happens when the engine is cold. My wife also had a polo, and the problem sound familiar, got is fixed when it had its service.
