speed pulse, and handbrake cable locations on the e46 coupe?

Hi im currently in the process of installing my pioneer avic x1 and am not sure where the speed pulse connection goes to, also if i just connect the parking brake cable to 12v+ will that stop the unit from blocking dvd while the car is in motion? any tips on the install would be greatly app.:)

I think it works same as my Alpine, once the car is in motion or at over a certain speed the screen will not display any video. I got around this with a mod I bought off ebay. Not sure how it works on the Pioneer, someone will know.

Did you connect the speed pulse wire if so which one is it and where is it, anyone know the best way to get the cables from the HU to the boot and how to remove the trims without damage, im also changing the speakers for a set of 13cm comps but am not sure the best way to run new cable to the boot to connect to my amp, thanks for any help.

Cheers mate there is a bit there, i see the speed pulse is a black wire with a white tracer behind the HU is that past of the buisiness radio wireing loom? just wanna make sure im gettin the right wire.

best place to pick up the speed pulse wire on the e46 is behind the air conditioning control panel. pop this out and behind it you will see a plug. on one side of that plug will be the black wire with white tracer.

cheers andy thought it was that one, tried out the sat nav today without the speed pulse connected and it wouldnt track me, is this why, also anyone know how to get the steering controls to work with the pioneer x1r im at a loss, could anyone give me some advice on power, im running jl stealth boxes of a jl a1200 amp a jl 10w6v2 of a alpine mdr 6o5 600w amp and my mtx comps of my mtx 3004 amp should i change the batt or something? Thanks for all your help so far.
