I have just bought a induction kit for my E46 318 ise and am trying to find a heat shield for it, hopefully some1 on here will know what I mean and know where I can get one.

Which kit did you buy, if it was a std CAI then you don't need a heat shield.

Nothing like that chap. I managed to get this rather cheap and it sounds brilliant but just wanted to separate it from the engine heat even more.

the chrome thing should act as the heat shield:) IMO getting a cold air feed pipe will be better than putting on a heat shield.
Why don't u make one yourself? Go into Wickes and get some 3mm aluminium sheet and a metal cutter.

I was thinking of making my own, but if I cud buy one then it would save me a lot of time

a heat shield will be unnecessary and redundant on that intake ...I also suggest large bor educting up to the mouth of the intake ?
may i ask if that is an FK Automotive or Ractive product ? If so please be careful , I have seen the filter element in those break down and allow debris to be sucked in ....also am not convinced you will actually get a power gain ...
Hope i am not putting a downer on all this, forgive me if I have ...just thought you should know
