View Full Version : With or without, what do you think?
FCS is in 2 weeks. And I must be ready as it might be the only show I get to and I don't want my work to have been for nothing.

With. I've got the same grills for my wife's 307, it freshen's the front up no end. Make sure you get the pieces that go either side of the lion!
Got them in me cupboard. :)

Cool. They're often the pieces people either don't bother installing, or don't buy, but to my eye, they make all the difference.
I read in the other thread your fogs don't work. Get some strobes in there ;)

have it with but spray it black?
The mesh is quite tight, I don't think it would take to that - although its an interesting idea... would probably end up with some parts looking darker than others, etc etc. Also the paint would likely flake off when it goes through the carwash as theres no way to laquer it?

Of those two, without, but Sonny's where I'm at with it - if you could darken it down then it would retain the mean look but also fill the gap. Must be somewhere who could do it, you know at least one person who can literally do EVERYTHING! ;) :D
Very true ;)
Although I haven't tried getting him to help me lower it :p (Nor will I.. )
I must admit I'm not at all sure on the grill.. Thats why I posted the topic here, to an impartial group. 206 forum is all sure I should do it, but its been done to death.
I suppose I can always sell it if I change my mind... Will only cost me 20 quid or so to make that mistake, as I can get the grill very cheaply..

Without for me, unless you can darken it.
or paint it Ginger.
Out of those two I'd choose without, but also I'd like to see a with darkened down a bit.

Another idea, you could paint some teeth with blood dripping off them.
Or do them like the WWII fighter the kittyhawk

It's all about what YOU want, not other people. Sure, ask opinions, that's all gravy though cos other people won't be driving the car.
If it were me, I'd take a close-up shot, then play with shading and see what it looks like darkened up compared to stock and plain modded. I think you'll see where most people are at - dark cars always suit a more stealth-like approach IMO, so in the same way that hyper-black/gunmetal wheels work so well on them you want mods that can be seen but aren't in-your-face with the chromework etc.
And yes, if your fogs aren't going to be fogs, strobe them for the show at least. ;)

Without for me, even blacked out Im not sure as it will still look like cheap mesh.
Now if you could get some plastic honeycomb mesh that would look the tits, also get rid of the pug sign on the front. On mine i had the bonnet welded, and sign taken out before that piece came available, changes the whole look of the car.
Some GT bumpers, along with a PA Tuning spoiler and its hotness (well used to be anyways)

I'm going to try and get a black one made up. Won't be too expensive an experiment I don't think and it could look sick :p If not then I'd fleabay!
What I'm not sure about is what to do with the little one that goes behind the pug badge (although I won't be debadging.. I think thats one of the last fronteirs between "tasteful" and "shed" as far as the pugs go.. ) - Its also the SP Silver... And goes with the bonnet grille. Do I still fit this with the dark mesh? I'm going to have to test fit it all and see if it looks wrong. Heh
