Question
Are the rear arches on an e46M the same (width) as on a 330 ci
I know the front arches are wider, but the M look can easily be achieved by new front wings
I just do not want to get the stupid look that the front arches are wider then the rear ones
I am currenlty getting the outside mods ready so when i get it all i only have to get it sprayed once (cheaper)
Thanks

Seen some done but a load of work replacing rear qtr panels and would have to do rear bumper too..then quad exhaust and it goes on. Think only doors and bootlid the same. Would only attempt it if my car was accident damage and the qtrs needed replacing anyway.
Do you really want to be a M3 wannabee....:(

Easy peasy, I wasnt as brave as Styler, so I went with a manual, eventhough I got the lush 6th gear lighting up, its really not there :D

thanks for the info
I think it will not look right then to do the new m style front wings (width arches) with the thin ones on the back?? will it??

Sorry but it will look awfull.
Unless you do the full thing it will look strange, better off with a nice Mtech kit or other IMO.

I agreee. There was a black 325 doing the rounds a couple of years ago and the guy had spent serious money doing absolutely everything using genuine parts..... except for the rear arches. didn't look right at all.

Don't want to do silly money
so it will be the bonnet, bumper (rear and front), bootlid and skirts
think about two colour scheme, bottom part of the car dark silver, top part light silver (which it is current)
Does somebody have pictures of such a two colour scheme (dark and light)??

I did the bonnet, but only cause my original was damaged, which i got thanks to BadzMaru. also got a rep front bumper, to the untrained eye it just makes it look a little beefier up front, not a M3 wannabe.
but i definantly will not be getting an M3 rear rep with M3 quads......... thats an M3 signature piece, IMO that would really make your car an M3 wannabe. Id recommend an mtec rear bumper and stick quads at opposite ends if you want.

I know, i know it needs a drop (H&R cup kit on the way), then i'll decide on alloys.

That looks very very contemporary, really nice,
But the bonnet i had in mind will have the either double or single vents in them (not sure which to go for yet) i see you'r point about the bootlid
I will definately go for the quad exhaust, as my other cars had it too
I do not want to become an m3 wannabee, i just want the car to have a bit more eye apeal, (its my dailly run-arround) so it need to stay comfortable and useable, therefore i will not lower-it

ROFL, Styler you dropped the ball there, you should`ve put an M6 knob on and told everyone you`d done a V10 conversion. :p
