HI
Would members please help us with bit of a survey ...?
1. Any genuine suggestions as to how CA may improve its services in general to those of you who have used us ( not interested in hearsay or " my mate said ..." only genuine experiences pls )
2. Any products you feel we have either way overpriced or do not carry at all and we should be ?
honesty is a pre requisite ....many thanks in advance

My every buying experience with CA has been a pleasure. If any item is not right, Roy puts it right quickly.
A lot of people say to me CA's stuffs are very expensive but as far as I know, the parts I buy from CA are reknown, quality OEM parts and I expect them to be expensive. If one compare replica parts with OEM, then the pricing of genuine parts will look extortionate but you simply can't compare like with like with the exception of GruppeM inductions. Even still, if one is fussy enough to want the original GruppeM carbon-kevlar weave and OEM K&N filter, he/she will be happy to pay full OEM pricing.
The things I think are overpriced are the CF or GRP products. I know Vorsteiner is an up and coming name in America and they establish their clientel amongst the e46fantics forum users but one cannot detract from the fact that they do actually make CF replica kits. Also, some of the replica CF and CSL parts like bootlid and rear diffuser are very expensive for what they are......replica kits.
So my view is this. If you sell original parts from reknown manufacturers eg: Brembo, Hamann, ACS etc. the pricing will match the standards these manufacturer set themselves and the reputation they hold, and buyers who want and appreciate these products will buy them. However, any replica parts no matter how good the quality will IMO always wear the replica tag and pricing should be a fraction of OEM parts.
Replica CSL splitters £470, £580 silver CF......Replica Arqray lip £500......Replica CSL rear diffuser £500 in GRP, £700 CF overlay.........too much Roy :(
My 2 cents ;)

many, many thanks Nick .
I actually agree about the carbon parts ....but it is a combination of international shipping on stuff like Vorsteiner and the low profit margin on our custom carbon work that forces these prices ....CA does not have as much of a margin on these as some may think :o
Also , I truly believe we produce some of the best custom pre preg carbon products around , and that the Vorsteiner stuff , although replica , is the best quality I have seen so far in this area .
I will be taking a look at carbon prices again over the fortnight anyway .
Also , not sure if you are aware butthe cost of carbon fibre as a raw material has shot up in price because Boeing have bought up a large proportion of the worlds supply up to 2006 to build the panels for the new Airbus and 757....so prices may continue to rise I am afraid ...bummer
thanks again Nick

As Nick says, the only items i see that i think are overpriced are the CF products, but having seen them in the flesh i can also agree that they are amongst the best quality out there.
For me the biggest decider and probably alot of northern people is the distance i have to travel, as i much prefer to do business 'in person' rather than via email or telephone. Although i always end up down there anyway.lol
I dont really mind paying that little more either as long as the excellent after service is always there[ok.Which it is, so i will keep coming back as long as my wallet will take it.

My 2pence worth:
I have spoken with Roy a few times on the phone in the past 2years (before this site was up and running) and His customer service is excellent! Very polite and always willing to go the extra mile. He has been a fountain of knowledge eachtime I have called for prices and guidance.
Having said that, I have not to date bought anything off CA. The reason for this? well like alot of people I shop around for the best price.....so I have bought from other people/suppliers. I am not in the habit of bouncing prices back and forth tp keep getting the price down. So after obtaining a couple of quotes I will buy from the cheapest - normally. This is not always a good idea as I have realised - delivery times have not always been what was originally quoted etc. I think Customer Service is worth alot for peace of mind.
I am hoping to do business with Roy in the future.
Keep up the Good Work - CA.

thanks for that 330
it i strue my prices are not always as cutthroat as some , but I truly believe i give a more complete and informed service than many ; here is what i think customers get with CA that they may not always get elsewhere :
- I am usually contactable in evenings up to 7 pm or so on office lines
- likewise most ( but not all) saturdays
- My advice is based on true product experience or research ...not profit margins . I have workrd hard to ensure most of my product lines carry a similar profit margin , so no monetary advantage to recommend one line over another .
- Unlike some others , I usually have actual technical know how or hands on experience relating to the products I am discusing with a customer
- all e mails are resonded to usually within 6 hrs , at absolute worst within 2 days
- I give installation advice over the phone
- I rarely lose my cool , even if a customer is being really out of order
- If something goes tit sup , I do the bending backwards thing more than most I believe
