I think even if where no cars , to take good pics you have to be patient and pick good angles height , thats for me and in the end they are not that good:D

Super looking car as always Nick. Whats the advantage of the d70s over the d70? I have the d70 and its almost impossible to take a bad picture with it. (p.s. you will def need a tripod for night shots but the end result is amazing!)

The D70s differs from the D70 mostly from the firmware with clearer menu layout and an improved AF system. The monitor is 2" and it has an improved speedlight flash. The battery last longer and it comes with a remote release cord (optional for the D70). I'm using the standard Nikkor 18-70mm DX lens.

Ah I see. Don't know if it is worth upgrading or not. The 18-70mm lens is super. My dad has the same camera aswell and he takes great family shots with it. I use the 28-300mm lens, came in very useful when I was in India. Check out this small lizard I photographed! (resized for web).
Nick man... amazing photos!
I'm gonna wash my car, and then let's have a photoshoot in the inner circle at some point this week!

Ali, I've found a few perfect spots for photos in the inner circle, too many people this afternoon but at 6am on a sunny summer Sunday, I'm sure we'll have the whole place to ourselves ;)

Looks like Birdcage Walk down the side of St James Park? Or somewhere like that anyway. I lived in Shad Thames for a stint last year and miss the random drives through the city when everyones gone home to Surrey
[:)]
Car looks mint but I hate you, because its tempting me to look at M3s as well as 330s!
Your ride is looking as slick as ever. I love the shots you've taken. That camera is sweet.

Its the difference between a nearly new, low mileage 330Ci and a high mileage, 3 year old + M3...

Plus the increase costs in running/maintaining an M3, extra over a 330.

Yep, if a nearly new 330ci is within reach, buying an M3 is not the major deterrant as many have already come down to the same price. However, like all M cars, running cost is the biggest factor. Expect your insurance to escalate, even double depending on area, age, NCB etc. Servicing cost especially Inspections are double that of a 330 (£670 for insp 1, £700-800 for insp 2 from dealers). Fuel depending on usage, avarage 16MPG around town and 24MPG on motorway, rear tyres every 10,000miles max (on average 7000 miles).
For me, insurance was the biggest deterrant until I turned 30 this year, and my premium dropped by £900. I am willing to spend hundreds on mods as in the end, I appreciate them and they are tangible. Paying hundreds more for insurance in the event of a mishap I can't justify. I would rather wait until the premiums I can stomach before tasting my first M car, and it happened after 3 years of wanting.
As for costs of inspections, keep modding; the less parts dealers can change, the cheaper the inspections :D (My supercharged 330 cost £170 for inspection 2 because the dealers have nothing they could replace other than gearbox fluid).

Nail on head! £23k ish on a 330CI makes it hard to ignore the M3s around the same price - I mean damn, its an M3 - but they are older, higher mileage and considerably more to run, and thats just too much of a stretch to me. £700 a service!?!?
So its got to be 330. Im 23 and the insurance for the 330 comes out at £540 FC...the M3 is more like £1800! Lovely car though Peppernick, looks fantastic http://sankeys.demon.co.uk/forum/images/icons/icon14.gif

The CSL bumper I got was smashed up and I got it restored. The splitters were cracked and chipped so my bodyshop had to remould them, hence the colour coding...which I like more than bare carbon TBH.... :D

Oh wow! I am very impressed; so you were the one that bought that BARGAIN CSL bumper from Teddy! I was sick in the stomach when I saw how much it went for... The bodyshop you used have done an amazing job!
I could make you feel even better if I was to tell you what I paid for an OEM CSL Bumper, but I don't want to upset myself by broadcasting it! lol
The install is a killer:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v48/AnniGti/E46%20M3%20CSL%20Kit/CSLBumperInstall.jpg
So many parts and so much labour - You have to buy two new mounting brackets, ditch your OEM reinforcement bar and also get a smaller special washer bottle.... big headache! Especially when these accessory parts have to be special ordered from Germany as well.
I really like your wheels too - I really want some CSL wheels, I can source OEM CSL for £1400 - but after being promised a set for £992 inc. Vat from Heathrow BMW [which inc. 20% discount], I just refuse to spend more than £1200 :( So for the time being the horrible OEM 19s remain....
A headsup for anyone else looking at going for a CSL bumper - be quick - there is a bargain CSL bumper on eBay for £250 [/cry]

Raja, I did some research into retrofitting the CSL bumper. The 2 bumper shock absorber is a must for newer cars with the carbon reinforcement bar. The mounting of the washer bottle can be modified as I retained my original one. Just drill a new mounting hole and use lots of fibreglass tape and cable tie. As it sits behind the bumper, I don't mind it looking untidy if I could save £100!
The cold air intake manifold can be replaced by flexi tubing from B&Q, £2.50 [ok
The horn is relocated but there's so much space anyway.
exposed Carbon Fibre looks 100 times better
On a black/silver/white car [jam ....Blue and CF somehow I don't like.
