Got the motor back from the dealers today. Been having rattles (bass induced ones) from the drivers door for a while. After telling them for 2 months them it was not the speaker or a faulty amp but it was a loose window they took the car in, again.

Anyhoo, went to pick it up tonight to be greeted with " Mr Dawson, you were correct, we've replaced the window regulators" (nice one dipshit). Anyway, they then went on to say "we had a new HK amp, remote module (? wtf is that?) and drivers door speakers on back order for you and they came in so we fitted them anyway (all under warranty)".

After picking myself up-off the ground I skipped out to the car to listen to my new found temple of noise. Now I'm no expert it this department but there was 1 fundamental difference in the new set-up. The BASS. Bugger me. Those with the HK system will know that the set up is not that great. But his new amp seems to have transformed it. Punchy as hell but with no distortion at all. Good low bass as well, more like a 14" ported sub in the boot.

Rather than having the bass at +3/4 I now have it at level or -1. Great. The treble seems a bit clearer too.

Anyhoo, if your under warranty, wedge one of Nick's Asda scewdrivers in your amp and get a new one. Well worth it.

Easier to just piss on it and whack the volume up ;)

Nice one! I did hear something about an improved HK amp.
