First mod on the M5

After owning the m5 for a couple of months now i thought i'd take the advice that many of you gave me and kick the modding off with a set of Haywood & Scott back boxes. All i can say, is the noise is awsome!!! But apart from that, what a load of sh*t!!! The build quality at first glance was reasonably good, until you try n fit them on the car :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: . Oh dear!!! We had to bend the brackets on one side because it sat about 20mm lower than the other wen fitted and the other we had to cut one off the brackets because it was longer than all the rest and made the tips hit the side of the diffuser.

Saying this! Now its all sorted i'm happy with the sound, but you shouldn't have to mess about like this after paying the sort of money they are. Ok they're cheaper than there competitors but never the less, i wouldn't buy from them again.

I can post some pics up of the pipes on the car fellas, but cmon, u've seen it all before. Must say i would like to post some vids but dont know how to transfer them on to the computer.

I had the tips on the pipes done slightly bigger than stardard by the way. I think they're 80mm.

the Ferrari make exhaust is probably a Tubi - very very loud and cool, and a lot of money!

Not a fan of H&S, Eisenmann is twice the price but the quality is second to none!

Say goodbye to your poor fuel consumption as it is going to get even poorer. I averaged 7.1mpg in mine after the exhaust was first put on on a 35 mile journey!
