Its getting there!! that's the coil overs, GT2 snout, GT2 rear wing and BBk on :)

I know what you mean, i was thinking long and hard about them, they are mated to performance friction discs floating on alloy bells, 360mm rear and 380mm front with pagid "black" pads.

Rob at auto services rates them very highly and my GT2 discs were *anked after under 1000 (yes 1k) miles, :eek: and as i got a deal :) so i will see how i get on with them ;)

Just because they're cheaper than other brands doesn't mean they're sh*te. Often you get what you pay for but on the flipside sometimes you just pay extra for the privilege of having a "name" so inevitably what may look to be an "industry standard" as far as price is concerned is really just a case of excessive retail premiums across several manufacturers IMO

Not saying they are a bad caliper at all m8, Ive seen the write up in PBMW and looks good to me, just never seen a set on a Porker before let alone a very powerfull one.

Aye, its a bit of a leap of faith (the brakes) but robs a loonie and he says they are superb so time will tell!

IF they fail i will use std rear discs and callipers with ds2500 pads and put the GT2 front 6 pots back on with performance friction discs :)

But i think all will be good! i hope so as i have a track day at knockhill booked, then Le Mans and the ring!!!

My dad supplies the billet for the high spec brakes. We were trying to get my car used as the test M3 for their brakes before they had any in production. They are made in dartford, kent.

Car is looking awesome.

i bought the 996 GT2 six pot callipers and fitted them with pagid yellow pads, but the new discs i got from a "reputable' dealer i suspect were pattern thus shit and over heated and put lots of tiny wee cracks radiating from the vent holes.:mad:

though saying that perhaps the pads were just too savage for the discs?

and in that 1000 miles i only braked from hight speed once (175) but i went up the a9 to Orkney from Edinburgh and back and once your past Inverness you need good brakes if you are pushing on!

I am home around the 25th and will be giving the Hi Specs a good testing and will post up a summary, but i have had a look at them and they look very good and rob had them on for a month or so and he is not shy AT ALL!!

In fact he has had these very brakes round Silverstone wih no complaints!
