..I'm sure this is possible.. [hmm
16:9 screen (genuine BMW) with no Sat Nav and no TV, just running your stereo. I spoke to Navman who said it can't be done, I'm not doubting him BUT I'm sure the U.S guys have done this. [hmm

Without the TV module you won't get the full screen. Just the back up screen which looks like a computer monitor from the 1980s.

It's an option from the factory. Widescreen, OBC, TV without Sat Nav. just needs the right wiring loom

Why would you not want the sat nav. It will only be about £350 more to retrofit [hmm

Also the TV is something you will probably never really use..... Even if you add a DVD player

I basically want an OEM screen that controls my stereo and OBC.
I don't need sat nav simply because I don't travel around europe which is the only real use i can see for sat nav, I can more or less find my around the uk with a simple £2.99 atlas. Having the TV module as BigFas says is necessary.
I know you can get the 16:9 screens for approx £400-£500 ebay  , the tv module can't be that much then it's just installation but as Big Fas says it can be done. I'm not gonna spend £££'s for stuff i'm not going to put it to good use.

The later more reliable TV modules go for about £200. You will also need a radio module (proffesional I would assume) this will be about another £200-£250 then you will need the mounting brackets......
You see even without the Nav you are going to spend a grand of your hard reddies [bang
