Being one of few who drive a 1 series - just like to promote it as much as possible....

Once again the Hartge engineers created something special, this, by transplanting a BMW 5.0L V8 into the newly released 1 series. And this isn’t your normal BMW V8, as it features modified cylinder heads, revised camshaft, and its own engine software mapping; resulting in an output of 450 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque.

Thought that the V8 in the front of that is just far too heavy for the car so all it's ever gong to do is understeer. Hartge put the same engine in an M3 and it suffered the exact same problems. However, with the 1er's engine so far back behind the line of the front wheels the effect on weight distribution will be less significant. Add to that the fact that the V8 builds shorter than the V6, spreading its weight more sideways than lengthwise.

It's an amazing car... i want one!
