Hey everyone, my 3 has developed a rather annoying problem with the front drivers door, it is very hard to open! You have to yank it very hard to get in, its fine getting out though!
Does anyone know of this problem? I hear its pretty common as the coupe doors are so heavy! And they use the same handles as the 4dr model... Or at least thats wot I heard,
Does anyone know of a fix?
Thanx in advance!
Aly

Is it just the handle? They need oiling ever so often or they get a bit sticky.

Tried that!!! Not worked, its more than oil me thinks, a body shop said replace the door handle assembly! Sounds exp though....

I've got a perfect DIY link on my laptop for this known problem - so it's worth a try.
I'll post it up tomorrow...

Cheers... did you guys have to loosen the but slightly before tightening it up, or did you just tighten it up right from the start?

Mines was already loose... Just had to tighten it, used a pair of plyers to do it properly! Cheers...
