Door handles

Anyone know how to change the door handles on an E46 coupe pre facelift? Is this a difficult job or straight forward???

Just open the door, in the end of the door there's a rubber near the door handle, pull that back and jus undo the torx srew, the handle will then slide bak and out. This is asuming you mean the exterior handles?

Yes sorry i do mean exterior door handles!!! thanks for that, just wanted to check that it wasn't a big mission to get them out before i attempted it.

5 min job mate, for both sides.

Took out the locking mechanism piece on drivers door as you said but the handle will not come out? there is a second smaller torx bolt, do i take that out as well? These are the later door handles that pull out/up not just out (after 09/00)

From the looks of this i do have to loosen the 2nd torx screw?

Just for peoples info.

The door handles are indeed different on coupes from 09/00 so it is slightly different in how you take the door handles out.

Took bloody ages to find that out!!! The internet is a great tool! And a TIS disc!
