Looks good, needs to be lowered but does look great. what are the rears? sizes i mean, are they from the rear of a M3 if so didn't think they would fit because of the off set and being 9.5 x19. :)

Welcome to the forum. I've never been a fan of those wheels on non-m cars, primarily as people had to run 4-fronts or get replicas, but they look sweet. I love the centre dish on the back. It's not noticeable to a lot of people, but for those in the know, a very nice touch.

So share with us, how'd you get them to fit?

I agree does need to be lowered the rears are 255/35 9.5 offset but had the hub of the wheel machined 3mm to tuck them in a bit and had the arches rolled still scrubs a bit with people in the back :D

I had a few problems to start with and was going to sell the rears and buy two more fronts but like you said cant beat the reat dish thats when i desided to keep them and make them fit :) forgot to mention in last reply one of the most important things in making these wheels fit spring asistors :) i know bit tacky but it works :D

Dunno what it is but dish really does make a difference, likewise I am not keen on the replicas when they look the same front and rear. But genuine and dished on the rear looks good

Looks like a 4x4 to me!!

The rear offset is simply too wrong for a non-m e46...

Hi mate, yes i did spray the inside of the lights my self. As for getting the wheels to fit i used spring assistors so stop the springs compressing as much had the hub of the wheel macheined and the arches rolled,

ian, fair play with the machining and the arch rolling thing, you must have really got your heart set on these and they do look good. very nice motor but not sure about the spraying of the back lights though but i'm sure they look better in the flesh. :)

and your next mod is?

Hats off to your effort mate [ok Fitting M3 rears on a non-M car is not an easy task.

As to your question about the exhaust, yes Eisenmann will give you the noise similar to the Carrera but you need to get the Race exhaust (loudest of the 3 available street specs). You may also want to fit the Eisenmann sound pipe at the same time as well. The sound pipe bypasses the center resonator and will give you the 'popping' effect when you let off the gas

Speak to Roy at www.ca-automotive.co.uk He's the Eisenmann man and a sponsor of the forum and members get good prices ;)

Oh, if you're for quads, you may also want to consider a lower hanging rear valance as the stock one you have will reveal the pipes and mufflers. Not neat IMHO. Something like this Hamann add-on will do nicely

Doesn't machining the Hub have safety implications?

Nice set of wheels though! A nice drop will really compliment them.

Matt i wasnt sure i done the right thing buying the smoked rear lights at first but once you stand back and look at them i think they look nice/different not many going around with them, im waiting for these LED light to be come available for the saloon i think they are much better, but for now ill stick with what i got. next mods Eisenmann exhaust, racing dynamics front wings

Peppernick thanks for the info i have already spoke with roy at Ca-auto and his given me some pricing, the race exhaust isnt street leagal though is it??? Can any one describe how loud it is? :) I want a sports car sound like the carrera S4 i drive them at work some time and they sound lovely just puts a smile on your face. Not a boy race tin can sound

Eisenmann Race is 100% street legal in the UK, even with sound pipes. It's only when you bolt on the Hi-Flow pipes that bypass the front resonator you can be pushing the law as some of us found out  ;)

Give me your email and I'll send you a soundclip of my Eisenmann Race on my old 330 ;)

welcome bro, another saloon on the forum [ok
with your 19s on, it doesn't look as if you have much more space so good luck with the lowering.
LED rear for saloon...wonder why no one makes them in FULL LEDs, as opposed to leaving the indicators in bulbs [hmm

Hi all, ill probably only be able to lower the front dont have the room at the rear to go any lower :D i had these on my car for about a year now only problem i get is tyre wear on the out side edge its not really bad, not sure if i can do anything about it though it got worse when i changed the rear bushings, oh by the way if any of you are thinking about doing this it wont pass MOT the wheels stick out about 1/4" last MOT i put my stock wheels on to get it though, when i get the money ill get a wide body kit.

Some one asked if machining the Hub have safety implications?
I had a company called lepsons an alloy wheel referbishment place do it and they said that was the max (3mm) i could machine off and keep it safe, i did buy a new set of rear disc and was going to have them machined but there was no way just not enough meat :)

Have you considered de chroming the window trims? That will make a huge difference.

That was Eisenmann Race with sound pipes. I'm sending you another clip Eisenmann Race + sound pipes + de kat. Check email in 10 mins.

I got pulled over with the de-kat but I was giving it some past an unmarked police car :D No fine but they gave me 2 weeks to remove the de-kat pipes....LOL However, my current M3 with the AA Tuning exhaust is louder but no problems so far.
