Driving past a MJA forecourt in Guidford earlier today noticed two Focus(ses) with all number reg plates, something like 457993, but all the other cars I could see had standard ones.
What was that all about then - thought that maybe military vehicles had that sort of plate?

I used to live on Gurnsey in the Chanel Islands - all cars have 5 digit registrations there. My dad had 56886 on his E34 5er, remember it like it was yesterday [;)] .

Jersey plates are 6 digits but with a J, eg J34654

So would the number plates be legal here, or would it be the same as having a foreign plate, so you'd have three months or so to get a UK plate?
Haven't seen one for sale, just thought they looked pretty neat :)
