because you're spending a lot of money, u shouldn't gamble on eBay or auctions houses like Blackbushe, although you may get an end of lease car very cheap. Last week I saw a 2002 '52' Omega 2.6 CDX leather, xenon etc. with ave mileage go for 4100quid... i suggest u buy one from a franchised dealer and get a furry dice and extended warranty thrown in for free:)

Hi mate.
Main thing is be patient! dont just buy a car because you cant find what ya want.
I waited 2 months to get mine, had a set budget and wanted something powerful in black with high spec and tints. Got what i wanted in the end.
I spent nearly everyday on the auto-trader and E&M websites and that's where i first saw my car.
Its a buyer's market - to many cars not enough buyers! its all in your favour!!! [writesmil

Wow dude 2 months thts a long wait but i guess its all worth it in the end.

One question is BMW used approve cars are the prices negotiable and what should one expect to get knocked off the sticker price?

Also buying from a private seller is it safe if i get a 125 point AA check done?

BMW used car prices are definitely negotiable. I got £2000 off my M3.

HPI and 125 point check definitely useful if you're buying from someone you don't know.

I agree with 'pepper'.
an inspection is always good if buying from someone you dont know and if the car is of high value.
I'd say aim at getting 5% of the asking price. i.e. £15.000 car go in low and try and settle in the LOW 14's. Thats what i would do.

If they wont budge far on price, trade the extras you want remembering trade cost to them ? & RRP - 10% to you on genuine kit only. [hmm

I got your PM.

I have sent you a response but it basically says dont settle for second best. I waited 3 months and ended up with exactly what i wanted down to the optional extras.

Good Luck and as soon as you buy it youll need more money to mod it cos it doesnt stop here believe me.
