Alternator gone!

Just drivin past bmw in derby when my battery light came on, i knew what it was..... Alternator! bmw want £520 :eek: so made a few calles to get a price, anyone know what i should be paying?

yeap, especially when bmw sell the original parts to eurocar parts, but for the fraction of the price ;)

Thanks all, orderd 1 today, bmw said somthin about coding it when fitted? What they on about? iv never known that when fitting an alternator?
