Hi,
Am new to the forum and this is my first post.
I am on the verge of ordering Halo's from SSDD but cannot decide which ones to go for [hmm . I know the differences between the 3 Generations of Halo's SSDD offer but would really like to see em in the flesh.
Is there anybody in the Birmingham area who has these fitted?
Welcme to the forum. Nice to see someone else from the Birmingham area here. Unfortunately, I do have halos fitted but not the SSDD ones so can't really help with that decision. But it is good to see you moddin' already.

if you can get hold of last month's Total BMW / BMW Performance, it'll illustrate how for retro fit.

I know it's not in the flesh but give Teddy a shout, I'm sure he has loads of pics of all the different types.
If you look at this (http://sankeys.demon.co.uk/forum/showpost.php?p=20321&postcount=16) post, you can see Teddy's with the next gen CCFLs on (I think) and everyone elses with the normal ones. Might be useful for comparison, hope it helps. :)
Shuriken.
Bought mine from M Style way back, and paid more than Teddy does them for (but I did not have the dash warning light issue and I don't need to keep the sidelight bulbs connected to stop this issue).
As for the fitting, they are very straight forward. No real issues and can be fitted in next to no time.

Black M3 with next gen halos on:

The tape mod stops the reflection in the centre of the lens (only visible in the centre lens as you don't have that issue with a xenon lens). The first gen ones are slightly smaller in diameter and a bit bluer.
