.......and ended up with one of the best ICE installs.

I posted earlier this week, I had an Alpine head unit installed, there was a glitch, the unit seemed to be overheating and going into safe mode, where everything worked, but with no sound.

Again, BIG thank you to Andy of ICE Cold Audio. He spent his day off today re-installing the head-unit, making some changes to the back end to allow more air to circulate, the wiring was TIGHT, he also re-wired the existing DVD setup to include audio and the main feature, CUSTOM install head-rest screens to match my boot install. Ain't NO-ONE got a setup like this ;)

By the way. As you can see, the headrest screens are not mounted using the conventional frame. Andy pulled apart the screens, custom mounted them in an Alcantara / Aluminium frame and locked them into the headrests themselves, completely matches the boot install

Sweeeeet install, Andy really is a legend.

Shame your rear screen is not widescreen, I guess you have to choose between 4:3 or 16:9. (Stretched on the widescreens or squashed on the 4:3)

Any plans to change the rear into an 30 inch widescreen LCD? ;)

1 question though IceD FaS (lol), is the space behind the stereo really tight, as i have a Pioneer AVH 6500 dvd player that I want to put into the E46 and dont want it to get hot! Might just have to get the sat nav and screen from BMW i think!

The only reason it was tight was the amount of cables we had running there. Normal head-unit cables, audio / visual cables, IPOD interface and steering wheel interface. . You should be fine with the head-unit you have.
