For some reason the dash warning light keepes coming up telling me i have a flat tyre. I've checked all the pressures and they are fine. I've tried to reset it but when i get back in the car it just goes off again.

I thought maybe it could be down to low pads buts i've just checked them as well and they are all barely worn so its definately not that. Is there anything else it could be.

reset it doing about 50 mph, should cure it.

It's a very common E46M3 problem, as Matt says try a 40-50mph reset. Some days it just keeps on going off, other times it'll STFU for months. If it gets into a strop then I usually just leave it on - it's not difficult to tell when you've actually got a puncture. :)

I had an X3 once from the dealer , and the thing went off , I checked the manual to see how to reset since I didn't have a flat tire , it said that sporty driving could trigger the sensor (Which I was doing :D ), not sure if its the same on the M3

I'll try and reset it at 50mph. I know its easy to tell when you have a flat but the warning light on the dash is annoying and i only just managed to get rid of the bulb out dash light.

I know what you mean mate, imagine my horror/blind panic when mine went off less than 10 miles after picking up the M, turned out that they hadn't done a reset on the tyres or smg box after fitting new wishbones:( they told me how to do it and couldn't apologise enough.
Like others have said just try another reset.
Cheers

Noticed that your not far away from me mate, we will have to try arrange a meet up, will be good to see your motor up close

It might be a good idea to arrange a meet somewhere in the North West. Most of the meets are in the South on a Sunday morning and there is no way i can get up that early with a hangover.

when you reset the light you then have to run through the same procedure again to re-initialize it or it will come on again. Sometimes its a sign to the start of a siezed caliper which is commen on m3's

hold button, ignition on, wait for it to go out and let go, switch igniton off.
Then again hold and turn on igniton, it'll go out and then come on yellow again, then start the car and wait for it to go out or go for a short drive to go out.
