As thread title...

I take a day off from work and wake up to see my car has just been clamped!

Apparently there were warrants linked back from last year to my registration, but they didnt make clear what these warrants were for... only that a mpv van was involved... the only conclusion I came to was that my plates must have been cloned and used in an unlawful way.

But heres where the problem lies, when the bastards clamped my car they scratched the bumper! I made them aware of this when they were removing it, but they denied doing any damage... when you could clearly see the yellow scratches!

i snapped a picture of the damage and said i would report it to my insurers, obviously they were not bothered... but i want to know from you guys, do I have a leg to stand on? or will it cause more hassle... It's a small but noticeable scratch, but i just hate the fact that these companies can go around doing these things and getting away with it! their up there with ticket wardens!

cheers

Thanks mate.

It was clamped by drakes bailiffs. Who I've noticed were featured on the bbc whistleblow show (bent bailiffs) last year!

Aint worth doing time Baris over some sad bastid. There employers would back them all the way taking you to court over it. Glad you didnt smack him mate even if he was a cocky twat.

There was no need for me to talk them into removing it... It was just a simple case of.. I was in the right, and they were in the wrong!.. and I had all the documents to prove that. The problem is the ordeal caused them to scratch my car!
