From the pics, I think it'll be a huge hit. A lot of the general public feel the boxster is a girly / hairdresser car, without taking into account the phenomenal driving dynamics. Putting a roof on, and the haunches nice a flared gives it a much more agressive stance and I reckon it'll be a huge hit for Porsche.
Any info on pricing? Assuming it's around the £30-£35k mark, it'll be competitive against the s2000, 350Z, TT 3.2 and the bigger engined SLK's.

Some info from Pistonheads...
Cayman S
3400cc, 6-cylinder boxer, 295bhp, 251lb/ft, 171mph max, 0-60 in 5.4 sec, 44,000squid
Not a cheap car by any means but I think it'll be a hit. All the hairdressers who think they're not hairdressors will buy them:)
p.s. my boss has sold his yellow boxter and bought himself a new Cayenne with the reg 'B16BOS'....tacky [thumbsdow

It will be a hit, it's a Porsche
Although I'm not a fan. For that money, I'll get a good F-355 sounds and look 100X better.
My friend put in an order last year, Cayman S with tiptronic and full option including the ceramic brakes, he's expecting to pay £65k  The brakes cost nearly £18K!!!

I love it, they will almost certainly bring a toned down turbo version or stipped out RS out, when they do, hopefully i might be able to afford one. :D

OMG 18k just for brakes? 65k for a car that's not even a full 911 is just unbelieveable...it's like buying a 316i with all the crazy options twice over and costing more than a CSL...in any case, he'll be a happy man!
Gayman? Caveman? :D
Hahahaha
I can just imagine... at the launch...
"We are proud to present..."
"The Porsche..."
"Gayman... errrhhhumm whoops, Cayman"...
:D :D :D

cup of tea
18k for brakes?! That is not right . I doubt youd get anywhere NEAR that much come resale.
