I changed the spark plugs and oil on my car yesterday and WOW!!!
When the old ones came out, the mechanic said that they were completely spent! Replaced with standard ones which BMW use, and all I can say is WOW!
What a difference, this is where I've been loosing power I think.
The car feels MUCH more alive now! The noise of the super charger has increased greatly and the whistle is now much louder. The car's more responsive and pulls MUCH harder through the revs
Wouldn't think that something like sparkplugs and oil change could do all that.
I couldn't stop driving it yesterday!

I was soo dissapointed with that time, i f***ed the start up, got a shitty 3 sec 60ft time.lol. Should easily get high 13's going off my terminal speed.
You coming to the next one? Will you still have the car.

When is the next one mate???
In two minds whether to keep the car now. One factor was it just wasn't fast enough, however now I'd say it feels as fast as my old E36 M3evo, just the gears arent as long. So I might keep it for the summer.
Lee - I'm thinking of getting Eisenman / Supersprint backbox. If I also get the resonators done, soundpipes etc, will the power increase be noticable? i read that it reduces back pressure......how does this help?
Also, when I was in durg's Vert at Southmimms, his sounds the bollocks! It's got kind of a 'dump valve' sound when changing gear, do you recon we'll get this sound with aftercooler and more boost?
And lastly, do you recon there'd be any benefit to make a heat-shield box round the air filter on the SK+ and run some pipes from the intakes into it?
Cheers

The sound comes from the bypass Value system.. so not sure if you will be able to get it....
Also you can try dropping your air filter down near the duct, and extend the hose to the intake side of the SC. I think Lee did this... not sure. But its much cooler down there, and have a direct feed of air.
Gald to hear you are happy with it again.

So does the valve bypass system only come with SK1?
Also, which zorst and do you have on yours durgs? ie. backbox, pipes, resonators etc.... And did you noice any power gains from it?
Cheers

Not sure on any gains tbh, prob 8-10bhp maybe for the whole system, probably hardly noticable.
The bypass valve onky comes on the SK1, although when the SK+ 6.5psi kit is out then this may come with one?
Ive routed the air intake into the bumper now and sits behind the air ducts in the CSL bumper. Theres a big difference in the higher rpm now.

I've read that with a Blow Off Valve you can get a simillar noise, would that work with SK+?
Cheers
Kris
i think i might change my plugs. Im betting money they are spent. Can i do it myself or i need a ramp?

Nah you dont need a ramp, plugs are above the cylinders. Just take the cam cover off unclip em and take em out. Youll need a spark plug socket to remove em though...Halfords.

Blow Off Valve, don't work on our SC kits. They change the Air/Fuel mix, not good you run really rich for a second. Only really used with turbo's, or bad SC kits.
My exhaust system is stock, apart from a OEM ACS back box.
