Anyone had any experience with Tarox???
Just come across the following:

TAR-OX Metal/Ceramic discs have been designed for high performance vehicles. They work from cold, offer greatly enhanced "bite", highly progressive braking and greater disc life. TAR-OX is the first manufacturer in the world to offer metal/ceramic brake discs for aftermarket applications. Caution: TAR-OX sintered pads need to be used. Any other pad compound WILL NOT WORK.

Are they really so good? Front Pads cost a fortune in excess of £200

I run Tarox 6-Pot BBK on the front of the Alpina.

The disks are superb, the bells are more than up to the job, the pads unbelievably good - both in terms of retardation, minuscule levels of wear and a complete lack of fade (5-laps back to back at the Ring!!!). The whole package was descrived by BMSport when they fitted them as "a seriously impressive bit of engineering"

On the flip side the bells turned up with the centre whole too small - but this was remachined locally at Tarox expense - no questions asked!

Additionally, they seem to be the ONLY italian company capable of saying 3-working days to deliver, and to actually mean it!

I would thoroughly recommend them.

As for the composites specifically I really can't help!

I have no experience with Tarox but £200-ish for a set of front pads is about right for a BBK kit.

As far as I understand there is an option when buying Tarox BBK to upgrade disks/pads for metal/ceramic for some £
