Can anyone help please ?
Our steves supercharged e36 328 as featured this months PBMW mag has such big wheel tyre/ radius that the final drive gearing is too high and consequently despite the power / torque the acceleration is not what it should be .
So we want to fit a lower ratio rear diff , can anyone tell us if we are rightin thinking a e36 325 sport diff will be lower ratio and also have LSD built in ?
thanks in advance

Roy, there was no E36 325 sport but owners could of speced from the factory an LSD as an optional extra (rare as rocking horse sh*t), how ever there was a 328 sport model and all pre facelift 328 sports had LSD's as standard fitment and post facelift were then given ASC instead
Are you prehaps thinking of the E30 325 sport LSD diff, because if you are then i believe that the E30 diff internals may fit into an E36 diff casing. John Moffat at Zoom Motorsport may be more knowledable on the subject too. I'll see if i can dig out the ratio's for you [read .

Right the 325 diff ratio's are
3.15 Manual
3.64 Automatic
Forgot to look up what the 328 ratio is though, so still cant answer the question as to whether its lower or not  [hmm

I appreciate you asking for help BUT if you post this AGAIN (you've done it three times now) I will remove all posts mate.
There's asking for help and then there's ridiculous levels of spam... :) I've no issue with the former :p
